Overview

PDF LookBooks lets you design and export multi-page product catalogs directly inside Dynamic Mockups.

Build branded lookbooks from scratch or save reusable templates - no external design tools required.

This feature is built for merch agencies, corporate gifting companies, and branded merchandise sellers who need to create professional PDF catalogs for client pitches, cold outreach, and sales presentations.

Key capabilities:

  • Design multi-page lookbooks with a drag-and-drop editor

  • Add mockup placeholders, text labels, images, and shapes

  • Apply artwork and logos directly onto mockups within the lookbook

  • Save layouts as reusable templates

  • Export as PDF in one click

Getting Started

Accessing LookBooks

  1. In the left sidebar, click LookBooks

  2. Click Create LookBook

  3. Choose Start from Scratch or select an existing Template

Starting from scratch opens a blank page - your canvas for building the lookbook.

Before adding content, configure your document settings.

Rename Your LookBook

Click the title field at the top to rename your lookbook (e.g., "Acme Corp Holiday Collection").

Orientation

Select Portrait or Landscape depending on how the lookbook will be viewed.

Background

Customize the page background:

  • Color - pick any solid background color

  • Image - upload your own branded background image

Adding Content to Your LookBook

The editor provides four types of content elements you can add to any page.

Mockup Placeholders

This is the core element of your lookbook. Mockup placeholders let you pull product mockups directly into your catalog.

To add a mockup:

  1. Click Add Mockup Placeholder

  2. Select a mockup from:

    • My Catalogs - mockups you've already created in Dynamic Mockups

    • Saved Templates - templates you've previously saved

  3. Position and resize the mockup on the page

Mockup settings:

Once placed, you can adjust:

  • Label name - add a product name or identifier

  • Position - set exact X/Y coordinates

  • Fit mode - control how the mockup fits within its container

Applying Artwork to Mockups

After placing a mockup, you can apply artwork directly onto it within the lookbook editor.

  1. Select the mockup placeholder

  2. Click to add or change Artwork

  3. Upload your prospect's logo, design, or select from existing artwork

  4. Adjust the color of the artwork if needed

This replaces the old workflow of generating mockups in one tool and pasting them into another.

Text Labels

Add text to your pages for product names, descriptions, pricing, branding messages, or any other copy.

  1. Click Add Text

  2. A text container appears on the page

  3. Type your content and customize formatting

Rectangles

Draw rectangles to create visual structure - backgrounds, dividers, color blocks, or decorative elements.

  1. Click Rectangle

  2. Draw a rectangle on the page

  3. Customize in the settings panel:

    • Color and opacity

    • Stroke (border)

    • Position and rotation

Images

Upload additional images to the page - brand logos, lifestyle photos, decorative graphics, or any other visual asset.

  1. Click Add Image

  2. Upload your image file

  3. Position and resize on the page

Working with Multiple Pages

A lookbook isn't limited to a single page. You can add as many pages as you need.

Typical lookbook structure:

  • Page 1 - Cover page with branding

  • Pages 2-5 - Product mockups organized by category

  • Page 6 - Pricing summary or contact information

Each page can have its own layout, background, and combination of elements.

Saving and Exporting

Once your lookbook is complete, you have two options:

Export as PDF

Click Export PDF to generate a finished PDF file. This PDF is ready to:

  • Attach to emails and cold outreach

  • Share in client portals or CRMs

  • Use in sales presentations

Save as Template

Click Save as Template to save your current layout for reuse. This is the most powerful workflow for agencies handling volume.

How templates save time:

  1. Build your lookbook layout once - branded backgrounds, mockup placeholders, text elements, consistent typography

  2. When a new client opportunity comes in, open the template

  3. Swap in the new client's mockups and artwork

  4. Export a personalized PDF in minutes instead of hours

Tips & Best Practices

Build templates first — Create a master layout with your brand colors, logo placement, and mockup positions. Reuse it for every new client.

Keep it focused — Curate 8-12 relevant products per lookbook rather than dumping your full catalog. Tighter selections convert better.

Lead with the client's brand — Place their logo and colors on the first page. The lookbook should feel like it was made for them.

Use high-quality mockups — Studio-quality visuals signal professionalism. Low-quality mockups undermine the entire catalog.

Include a call to action — End every lookbook with clear next steps: book a call, reply to this email, visit a link.

Keep file sizes manageable — Optimize images before uploading so the exported PDF is easy to share via email.
